Tonymoly's Tomatox and Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub

Pamper me time!

I put on my Tomatox Magic White Massage Pack. This is one of Tonymoly's best-selling products. One would instantly fell in love with the packaging. I, for one, am a sucker for cute packaging. But this product packs quite a punch. It contains tomato extracts and vegetable ingredients that purify and brighten the skin. It has an amazing whitening effect but to be honest, its effect does not last that long. But it gives a refreshing feeling after using it so I couldn't complain that much hehe. There are already a lot of reviews regarding this product and there's nothing more that I can say. Overall, this product is a must try and for around 548 pesos, it's worth the price. Here is me with the mask on. lol :)

Next, I tried on Tonymoly's Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub (yep, that is its name) Did I say I'm a sucker for cute packaging? hehe It comes in a lip shaped container. So cute! This comes in 2 colors: pink for the scrub and red for the balm. I only bought the pink one and this is the first time that I've used it. I don't know how to use it properly. I just put it on my lips, scrub and massage it for awhile and then rinse my lips. I noticed my lips were smoother after using it. The texture of the lip scrub reminded me of St. Ives facial scrub with all that fine beads. It has this kinda sweet smell and taste? (no I didn't swallow it) or I was just imagining Mcdo's Berry McFlurry. hehe yum!

After all that, I feel refreshed and moisturized. 'Til next! ;)

The New 'Do

2 months had passed again without a single post..and then it's going to be 2012 in 39 days. so my New Year's resolution is to write more here in my blog..haha as if. But I really I want to..well I'll try harder this time :)

Anyway, I had a haircut yesterday. Actually, it wasn't really planned (ahem) but then I was getting effin tired of my dry hair (eek!) so I decided to have a haircut + treatment. I went to Bang's Tony & Jackey salon at SM North the Block branch. I was only carrying a thousand pesos. I wasn't able to withdraw (BPI was offline at that time). Anyway, I opted for their promo at 1k for haircut and treatment. The girl at the reception even tried to offer me the other promos at 3k but I firmly told her that I'll just get the 1k.

There were only a few customers at that time (around 1pm). They made me wait for a few minutes while the assistant was preparing the stuff. She then called me for shampoo and wash. After that, she assisted me to the seat. I had the hair treatment first. She put the cream all over my hair, put some plastic on and then the machine that will seal in the treatment. I think I was too close to the machine because even my face feels so hot. haha. It was like steaming. I was even wearing a cardigan and I had those salon capes on so I was sweating then (eww haha)

By the way, I was given a lookbook of hairstyles for me to choose. Hundreds of hairstyles to choose from for short, medium and long hair. Since my hair is shoulder length, I just chose on the medium length hairstyles. I pointed one style that I like to the assistant and she said she'll just tell the stylist afterwards. After a few minutes (I lost count), she removed the machine from my head and let my hair cool down. After that, my hair was washed again and then dried.

My stylist (Jason) approached me. He asked me what style do I want and I pointed to the one on the lookbook. He just asked how long do I want for my bangs and I told him to just copy the one on the picture. I had really no idea on how long do I want it hehe. So off he snipped and trimmed my hair. After trimming, he curled my hair using a curling iron. I feared that I won't look good with my new hair but after seeing the results, I love it! Next time, I'll have it permed. I was really happy and satisfied with their service and for the price, I think it's worth it.

What I love: this is the second time I've been to Tony and Jackey. I've been to their SM annex branch before but I've got to say that I love their branch at The Block more. It has a quieter atmosphere but then I guess it depends on the time that you go there. I also noticed that the assistant (I forgot to ask her name) was not so pushy on selling their stuff. She just offered to me to buy the treatment and do it at home instead of having it at a salon. But she wasn't like forcing me to buy it. So kudos to her! And my stylist, Jason, is good at cutting and styling hair. He can also understand English more. He can even say some few words in Filipino hehe. So overall, I enjoyed and best of all, love my hair! Body Tune

I haven't updated my blog. So much for promising that I'll update this as often as I can. :p Anyway, this would be a blog of my spa experience at Body Tune (SM North). Actually it was a long time since I've been there because I always go to Foot for the Gods for foot and back massage. It was just that Foot for the Gods is in SM Megamall and it would be a hassle and more stressful going there via commute.

I used to get the Chair Massage at Body Tune before so I decided to have it today. The masseuse asked me if I want to be massaged in one of their rooms instead of just sitting in the chair. It was early so there weren't any customers yet. The massage was just for 20 minutes and it's their cheapest massage at 210pesos. Yeah, I'm saving money and I really just wanted to have my aching back massaged.

So what can I say about it? Honestly, I loved the massage because the masseuse really knows what to target and the pressure is just enough for my liking. Actually, I got "bitin" because it was just for 20 minutes but I guess that what I paid for. And after the massage, my backache was gone. :)

What I didn't like? The facilities and the stuff there like the towels. I didn't use the towel but I saw one in the room and it looks old and gritty, like it was used so many times already. I just wish they will change their towels and their bed linen too. My mom used to frequent that spa before but she got turned off at their towels so she didn't go back there again. Sayang lang kasi maganda naman ang service nila. I hope the management will take notice of that and improve their facilities and amenities.

Nangangati Ako

Bastos pakinggan noh? Pero nagkakamali ka, hindi ito kabastusan (kung yun lang gusto mo basahin eh umalis ka na lang dito)

Halos isang taon na simula ng magkaroon ako ng Chronic Urticaria. Ayon sa Medscape Reference ang chronic urticaria raw ay "defined as urticaria that persists for longer than 6 weeks, is a frustrating condition for both patients and caregivers. Urticaria is not a single disease but a reaction pattern that represents cutaneous mast cell degranulation, resulting in extravasation of plasma into the dermis. Urticaria is characterized by hives or wheals, which are edematous pruritic papules or plaques. The variety of potential triggers of urticaria, especially for acute urticaria, can make the approach to diagnosis and treatment a challenge. Unang paragraph pa lang nosebleed na ako. In short, pinapantal ako sa di malamang kadahilanan. July last year ng magsimula ako pantalin. Maliliit lang nung una na mukhang kagat ng lamok. Sabay lumevel up at naging malalaking pantal. Imagine-in niyo na lang or igoogle niyo yung photos. Sasabihin niyo "pantal lang yan" o kaya "wala yan". Pero naku isang taon ka kaya pantalin ng walang humpay?

Pumunta na ako sa mga espesyalista..naka-ilang check up na nga ako. Napilitan pa na magallergy test sa halagang 4k plus 1k na consultation fee..pero wala namang nangyari. Hindi naman nawala yung pantal ko. Sabi nila lagi allergy daw. Uhmm hindi naman ako kumakain pero inaallergy pa rin ako? kahit bagong gising ako eh bigla na lang ako papantalin?

Nagsasaliksik ako ng impormasyon ukol dito. Sa kasamaang palad, wala pa talagang gamot na tuluyang magpapatanggal sa sakit na 'to. Wala ring direktang paliwanag kung ano ang maaaring sanhi nito. Siguro minalas lang ako at hindi maganda ang pinagsamang DNA ng mga magulang ko. Maaaring mawala siya bigla o maaari ring habang buhay ng ganun. Ayoko sana magisip ng negative pero open na rin ako sa possibility na matagal kong dadalhin 'to. May mga gamot naman na pangrelieve ng symptoms. Ayun na nga "relieve" lang...mga ilang oras lang balik na uli ang mga kaibigan kong pantal. Ok lang sana kung pantal na lang eh, kaso ang kati-kati pa nila. Ayoko sana uminom ng gamot araw-araw kaso madalas nakakahiya lalo na pag lumalabas. Ala namang magkamot ako in public places?

Hindi ko alam kung may mga ibang Pinoy ba na meron nito..meron naman siguro. Wala lang grupo na tulad ng sa ibang bansa (International Chronic Urticaria Society). Sana lang meron ako makilalang espesyalista na talagang makakapagpaliwanag sa akin tungkol dito. Karamihan kasi eh pera lang ang habol sa pasyente. Kung anu-ano ipapagawang tests or worse, bebentahan ka ng tinda niyang sabon. Arrgh.

Pero siguro blessed pa rin ako kasi hindi naman siya nakamamatay. Yun nga lang pupuwedeng panghabambuhay. Iniisip ko na lang na kasama 'to sa mga pagsubok ko sa buhay at kayang kaya ko 'to lampasan.

Mango Jubilee

Fasting ngayon...pero nag-ccrave naman ako. Sakto naman may napanood ako kanina gumagawa ng strawberry jubilee from Mario's. I've tried their Mango Jubilee and it's the best! Aliw na aliw pa ako kasi sa harap mo lulutuin at paliliyabin yung mangoes. Matagal na ako nakabili ng ingredients (except for the mangoes) pero di ko pa rin nagagawa. I might as well share it here. I got this from Yummy. Enjoy! :)

Serves 5 to 6 Prep Time 5 minutes Cooking Time15 minutes

4 very ripe large mangoes
1/2 cup white sugar
4 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon juice from jarred cherries
1 tablespoon rum (preferably Tanduay Rum) lemon or orange zest (optional)
vanilla ice cream

1 Slice the mangoes and scoop out the flesh, discarding the skins and reserving all the juices. Set aside.

2 Heat a sauté pan over medium heat and combine the sugar, butter, and cherry juice. Cook until the sugar is dissolved, then add the mangoes and liquids. Simmer until the liquid is reduced and the mangoes are softened, about 5 to 10 minutes.

3 Remove the pan from the heat and add the rum and lemon zest. Return the pan to the heat, stirring occasionally to help burn off the alcohol. If you know how to flambé safely, go for it. Otherwise, keep stirring for 1 to 2 minutes over medium heat. Once done, turn off the heat and prepare the ice cream for serving.

4 Put large scoops of vanilla ice cream in 6 bowls, then top with heaping tablespoons of the hot mango mixture. Serve immediately before the mango melts all the ice cream.

Abril 21 na naman..kung dati hinihintay ko pa ang araw na eto eh ngayon parang ang bilis na lang ng oras..at wait,naka-anim na taon na pala kami.

Naalala ko pa nung 2005, yun yung taong una kami nagkakilala ni Jojo a.k.a. Lakwatsero. Patay na patay siya sa akin nun, sabi pa nga niya "Sige na kahit fling lang, pumayag ka na?" hahaha desperate much? eh ang haba ng hair ko kaya pumayag na rin ako. Ayaw pa nga sa kanya ni mama nung una kasi masyado raw maingay (baka bading?) pati jobless pa kasi siya nun at palaboy-laboy lang. San ko naman daw napulot yun? Natatawa na lang ako pag naaalala ko yun.

Si Jojo ang exact opposite ko..as in extremes kami. Kung siya Mr. Congeniality at malamang mananalo ng Mr. Friendship award pag sumali siya sa mga Pacontest eh ako naman ata ang pinakatahimik at mahinhin..chos..hahah basta opposite lang nun. Lagi rin kami nagcclash sa mga opinyon..pero minsan sinasadya ko na kasi gusto ko lang ng away. Malamang madami na naiinis sa akin kasi baket daw ang bait niya tapos ako hindi? Oh well inggit lang sila :p

Siya ang aking boypren and bespren in one...Saka unan na rin kasi ang lambot.

Kahit malayo kami eh parang malapit na rin..(sa ibang post na lang yung tungkol dito. ;) )

Amnesia Girl

Hindi eto review tungkol sa movie na My Amnesia Girl.

Haay napansin ko lang madalas na ako nagiging makakalimutin ngayon. Tipong kagagawa ko lang ng isang bagay eh maya maya nakalimutan ko na.

Exhibit A: nangyari eto sa work. kabubukas ko lang ng pinto tapos after 2 minutes lang eh hiniram ko na naman yung susi sa boss ko. Nagtaka siya kasi alam niya na nabuksan ko na. Take note: lola na ang boss ko. As in matanda na. Natawa lang ako pero siyempre weirded out din.

Exhibit B: Nagshopping si Ma. kinuha ko na yung paper bag nun at hawak ko na. Sabay hinanap ko yung paper bag. Hindi ako nagbibiro. Ganun ka-grabe. Katakot na nga minsan.

Marami pang ibang pagkakataon na madali ako makalimot- sa sasabihin, sa gagawin etc.

Hindi ko alam kung namamana ba yung Alzheimer kasi meron nun si Lola (God bless her soul). Wag naman sana. Lord, 25 years old pa lang ako. Madami pa ako gustong maalala sa buhay ko. Or pwedeng side effect ng gamot na iniinom ko? pati yung huling vaccine ko eh gusto ko na rin sisihin. Baka kelangan ko na lumaklak ng Memo Plus o kahit anong memory enhancer meds dyan.

Hay sabi ko na nga ba, nakalimutan ko na naman password ko dito. leche naman. :/
